The App Store already tells you which games sell loot boxes

Age-rating column rebuilt from the sixteen App Store product pages. Apple has retired the 12+ and 17+ bands in favour of 13+, 16+ and 18+, and thirteen of the sixteen ratings in the original table were the retired values — including the 4+ the article's central argument rested on, now 9+. The loot-box column was re-read and is unchanged: the same twelve games declare it.

CorrectedMARVEL SNAP

Marvel Snap and the case for the very short match

The download size in Practical details said roughly 330 MB. The App Store listing reported 349 MB a day after publication and 348.8 MB on re-reading, so the figure was wrong when written rather than overtaken by an update. Corrected to roughly 350 MB, with a note on the article.

Updated

The oldest iOS these games still run on, in one table

Table re-read from the same sixteen listings. MONOPOLY GO! raised its minimum from iOS 13.3 to iOS 15.0 and Pokémon TCG Pocket's download grew from 366 MB to 766 MB; six other sizes moved slightly. The July reading is kept in Sources as the basis for the new "what changed" section.

CorrectedMONOPOLY GO!

Monopoly GO decides when your session ends

Practical details called this the smallest install of any game in the directory. Roblox was smaller on the same day's reading, at 243 MB against 281 MB, so the claim was wrong when written. Corrected to one of the two smallest, behind Roblox.

Pokémon TCG Pocket is rated 9+ and sells randomised packs

The listing now reads 9+ rather than the 4+ this article was built around, following Apple's move to a new rating scale, so the headline and the argument were adjusted — the claim that this carried Apple's most permissive rating no longer holds. The download has also roughly doubled since publication, from 366 MB to 766 MB.
